Why Choose SCCS?

Choosing a school means choosing who will help you form your child. At St. Croix Catholic School, that formation is steeped in virtue, deep thinking, and hands-on learning, and it has been since 1856.

A formation steeped in virtue

We believe every child is created for greatness, with a specific purpose from God. Our work, in partnership with parents, is to draw that purpose out: to form students of strong character who know the faith, love the good, and carry it into the world as servant leaders.

Deep thinking, not just information

Deep thinking is our own language for what an education at St. Croix Catholic School asks of a student. We teach children to reason, to wonder, and to work through hard questions with patience, so that learning becomes formation rather than the collection of facts.

Formed by people who know your child

Our faculty and staff know students by name. That is the quiet difference families notice first: a child who is seen, challenged, and cared for as a whole person.

Meet the Dominican Sisters

The Dominican Sisters of St. Cecilia teach in our classrooms, form our students in the faith, and shape the school’s character by their presence and charism. The sisters have taught at St. Croix Catholic School since 2002.

What families tell us

“We have found our happy place joining SCCS. Our children have created strong friendships while also learning Christian values, and being challenged from an academic standpoint. SCCS is one big family, and we feel blessed to be a part of it.”

Kate Fischer

“We have been overwhelmed by the love, support, community and wonderful education our four children are receiving at St. Croix Catholic.”
