Athletics

At St. Croix Catholic School, athletics are another place where formation happens. Our teams compete as the St. Croix Catholic School Knights. We give students opportunities to grow in teamwork, perseverance, and virtue on and off the court.

Knights athletics

Students in Grades 5–8 may participate in school teams through the Catholic Athletic Association. Sports offered at St. Croix Catholic School include:

  • Fall: Boys and Girls Soccer, Boys and Girls Cross Country, and Girls Volleyball
  • Winter: Boys and Girls Basketball
  • Spring: Baseball and Softball

Formation through competition

Through practice and competition, students grow in skill while learning discipline, perseverance, humility, teamwork, and respect. They learn to contribute to a team, support one another, achieve success with humility, and meet setbacks with perseverance.

Knights are expected to work hard, encourage their teammates, respect coaches and opponents, show self-control, and carry themselves with integrity on and off the field of competition. Athletics give students another opportunity to practice the sought-after virtues.

Additional opportunities

Families may also explore athletic programs available through the St. Croix Valley Athletic Association. Students in Grades 6–8 may be eligible to participate in certain Stillwater Area Public Schools athletic programs when that sport is not offered through the Catholic Athletic Association.

Sport and team availability depend upon student participation, coaching availability, and league offerings.
