Volunteers Needed

Volunteer Opportunities
Our SCCS custodial staff has been working all summer to refresh the building, but now it is now the time of the year that we can use help from parent volunteers with some of the cleaning and organizing:
  • Classroom Cleaning: This would be tasks like wiping off counters, desks, shelves and windowsills in classrooms. We have two dates and times planned and can use as many people as are interested. Choose your own hours between these time frames. Adults only per insurance requirements. 
    • Thursday, July 24th from 9:00 am until 2:00 pm and 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm   
    • Thursday, July 31 from 9:00 am until 2:00 pm       
  • Office Assistance: This would be putting labels on folders, cutting forms, etc. 
    • 1 person needed on Tuesday, July 22nd for about 2 hours between 9:00 am and 2:00 pm.        
  • Gardening: This would be cleaning up the weeds in the front gardens on either side of the front steps and around the sign in front. This can be done any time that works for you, but please let the office know who we can thank for your time! Once the weeds have been cleaned up, the school can provide some wood chips to spruce up the area - just let the office know. Families welcome!        
  • Selling SCRIP: We are always in need of volunteers to help with SCRIP. One particular need is for families to sell SCRIP cards after masses on weekends. (Saturday after the 5:30 pm at St. Michael's, Sunday after the 7:30 am, 9:15 am, and 11:00 am at St. Michael's and after the 8:00 am and 10:30 am at St. Mary's.   • Providing Refreshments: Bars, Cookies, and bottled water needed for the Bishop John LeVoir Legacy Garden blessing on Saturday, August 16, 2014. Volunteer to make a dozen or more treats, purchase a 12- or 24-pack of water, or help with set up, serving, clean up the afternoon of the event. Contact Camille Kiolbasa, 651.468.4095.
