Thank you to all who so generously donated to St. Croix Catholic’s tuition assistance program by supporting the Light Their Way event on February 7. On behalf of the parents who need your financial assistance to keep their children at St. Croix Catholic School, we extend our heartfelt appreciation and prayers of thanksgiving. If you were not able to attend the event, but would like to donate to the school’s tuition assistance fund, please contact Camille Kiolbasa, [email protected] or 651.439.5581 x310.
The planning team of Wally Nelson, Jackie Garofalo, Amy Vagle, Amy Dinzeo, Mike Whisler, Sister Mary Juliana, and Camille Kiolbasa welcomed over 180 guests. 1985 graduate, Rob Gag, served as emcee for the evening, and Father Kevin McDonough, a 1969 graduate, shared a heartwarming message of the need for Catholic education in today’s world, noting that now, more than ever, kids need to know who they are and whom they belong to. Catholic education is the foundation that stays with them throughout their lives – and into eternity.
Dave Middleton prepared an extraordinary gourmet dinner of beef tenderloin, russet potatoes, salad. PJ Murphy’s donated fabulous torte desserts. St. Croix Catholic middle school students served the meal. The open bar, before and after the event, was an enjoyable addition, thanks to the Knights of Columbus and Morelli’s.
Amy Vagle and Amy Dinzeo, along with a team of creative moms, completely transformed St. Michael’s Social Hall into a beautiful rustic venue, complete with birchwood, evergreen, and candle centerpieces.
Zach Peterson Video production and Tierney Brothers helped deliver two amazing videos, which are now available on the school’s Web site. A slideshow of graduates’ testimonials of the impact of Catholic education was also shared with those in attendance.
Thank you to all who supported this year’s Light Their Way event. May God bless you for your generosity.
