Virtuous Leadership Awards
Awards determined by peers, were presented to the following 8th graders at their last All School Mass.
The Alexandre Havard Award recognizes an individual who demonstrates the virtue of magnanimity; they see the greatness in themselves as something given by God, and they are fearless in calling greatness out in others. This year’s recipient- John Francis.
The Verso L’Alto Award recognizes an individual who isn’t afraid to reach for the highest things in life; they are courageous in overcoming the obstacles before them, and they are an example of overcoming fear and opposition for the sake of justice. This recipient- Jackson R.
The Blessed Mother Award recognizes an individual who is humble and modest, and allows God to work through them. They live in the truth of who they are, and are just themselves regardless of their circumstances. This year’s recipient- Rose.
The St. John Bosco Award recognizes an individual who is a spiritual leader among their peers. They joyfully share their faith with others by word and example. This year’s recipient- John Francis.
The Blessed Fra Angelico Award recognizes an individual who has some gift of artistic ability, and generously uses it to serve others. This year’s recipient- Pietro.
The Pope St. John XXIII Award recognizes an individual who acts with sincere prudence, and is a person others readily come to for wisdom. This year’s recipient- Lauren.
The Pope St. John Paul II Award recognizes an individual who is cheerful, encouraging, and makes everyone feel like a friend. This year’s recipient- Rose.
The Pope Francis Award recognizes an individual who is quick to forgive, generous in mercy, and is always looking for ways they can be at the service of others. This year’s recipient- Jackson E.
The St. George Award recognizes an individual who demonstrates a great deal of fortitude and courage. This year’s recipient- Louis.
