Partnership and Collaboration Agreement between Parents and St. Croix Catholic School
Our vibrant culture sets St. Croix Catholic School (SCCS) apart and makes it a special place. Protecting and nurturing that culture is of paramount importance, and it takes all of us—parents, students, faculty, and staff—to do so. To preserve and build on our culture, we ask all parents of our students to commit to do the following:
· Support the faith. In both words and actions, support Catholic education and the teachings of the Catholic Church.
· Support the school, its faculty, and staff. Communicate respectfully, kindly, and truthfully with our fellow members of the SCCS community, including faculty, staff, students, and other families of students. Meet dealines put in place by SCCS. Refrain from gossip, which is hurtful and tears down our culture. Address complaints or disagreements privately, without unnecessarily publicizing them or involving others. Respect decisions reached by SCCS, even if you disagree with them. Adhere to the policies in the SCCS Student/Parent Handbook.
· Support attendance. Minimize absences and tardies, because these disrupt the classroom and burden our teachers, who have to assign make-up work and ensure absent and tardy students are on pace with their peers
· Support adherence to our dress code. Ensure your student is in compliance with the dress code. Addressing and correcting noncompliance disrupts classes and results in lost instruction time and additional work for teachers and staff.
Consequences for not upholding these commitments may include, without limitation, verbal or written warnings, removal or bans from school grounds, or mandatory withdrawal of children from enrollment.
Commitment and Agreement
By signing below, I commit to the standards outlined above, and agree that if I fail to uphold my commitments, SCCS may take steps to enforce my commitments, as outlined above. My commitment and agreement will last as long as the child, or children, for whom I am responsible are enrolled at SCCS.
